How to Clone Your Voice (in 5 Minutes)

Best practices for cloning your voice with Elora

by David Stack · Updated Dec 3, 2025

We're going to create a digital version of your voice that sounds just like you. To get a studio-quality result, just follow these 3 simple steps.

1. Find Your Studio

  • The Golden Rule: The room matters more than the microphone.
  • Where to go: A walk-in closet full of clothes is the best place in your house. The clothes absorb echoes. A small, carpeted bedroom is the second best.
  • What to avoid: Kitchens, bathrooms, or large empty rooms (too much echo). Turn off fans, A/C, and close the windows (helps avoid lawn mowers and car alarms).

2. Record Your Sample

  • Length: Record 2 to 3 minutes of continuous speech.
  • Tone: Read in the exact calm, slow, meditative pace you want your Voice Clone to use.
  • Equipment:
    • Best: A USB Microphone (like a Blue Yeti) plugged into your computer.
    • Good: This free online recorder or the voice memos app on your phone. Hold the phone 6 inches from your face, slightly to the side.
  • The Script: Don’t overthink it. Grab a favorite book or a past meditation script and read a couple pages.
  • ⚠️ CRITICAL: Voice Only. Do not have any background music or other people talking in the recording.

Send your audio file (MP3, WAV, or M4A) to hello@elorameditation.com.
