Hello, I'm Elora, and in this meditation, we'll cultivate a laser-sharp focus on your work while gently putting aside those minor errands and personal to-dos.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.
Close your eyes gently.
Allow your body to sink into whatever surface you're sitting or lying on.
Now, bring your attention to your breath.
The natural rise and fall of your chest or belly.
Just notice it, observing the rhythm without trying to change it.
Any time your mind wanders—and it will—gently guide it back to the sensation of your breath.
Let's focus on the present moment.
What do you see, hear, feel right now?
Notice these sensations without judgment.
Just observe.
Feel your feet on the floor, the weight of your body, the temperature around you.
This is your grounding.
Any thought that comes, let it pass without clinging to it.
You are here now; you are present and focused on your breath.
Now, imagine your work.
Picture your tasks.
See the projects in your mind's eye.
Feel the satisfaction you'll experience upon completing them.
Hold these thoughts.
Feel their importance.
Now, imagine those minor errands and personal items.
Visualize letting go of them, placing them gently aside, as if you were placing them in a box to attend to later.
You know they're there; you can access them later.
But for now, you are fully focused on the task before you.
Feel the relief as you let go.
Feel the space created by detaching from them.
This space is now filled with your concentration on work.
You are fully present.
You are clear.
You are focused.
Continue to let go of any distractions.
Each time your mind wanders, gently guide it back to your breath and the image of your work.
Feel the power of your concentration growing stronger.
Visualize yourself effortlessly completing your tasks, fully focused on the job at hand.
Take a few more deep breaths.
Slowly become aware of your surroundings, wiggle your fingers and toes.
When you're ready, gently open your eyes.
