Hello, I'm Elora, and in this meditation, we'll be using the breath to cultivate motivation and a sense of calm to approach daily tasks with more ease.
We'll focus on unpacking your clothing and unloading your dishwasher.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.
You can sit or lie down, whatever feels most supportive for your body.
Gently close your eyes if it feels comfortable.
Now, bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the natural rhythm of your inhales and exhales.
Don't try to change it, simply observe.
Let go of any thoughts or feelings that arise simply let them pass by.
If your mind wanders, that's perfectly alright, just gently guide your focus back to your breath.
Let's focus on the sensation of the air entering and leaving your body.
Feel your abdomen gently rising and falling with each breath, a gentle rhythm of life.
Feel your lungs expanding and contracting.
Notice the coolness of the air as it enters, and the warmth as it leaves.
Feel your shoulders, and chest softening into a receptive state of peaceful awareness.
Let's now focus on that feeling of relaxation in your body.
Let’s transition into thinking of your intention to complete those tasks.
Focus on the sense of accomplishment you'll feel once the dishwasher is unloaded.
Visualize the satisfying feeling of putting away the clean dishes, organizing them in their appropriate place.
Now shift your attention to unpacking your clothing.
Imagine the increased sense of calm and order you'll feel in your bedroom once your clothes are put away.
Think of the comfort of your neatly organized clothes.
Notice their textures, feel the weight of the garments as you visualize putting them away.
Feel that sense of order settling within you.
Continue to breathe deeply each inhale bringing in energy and motivation, each exhale releasing tension and resistance.
Let every breath empower this intention of yours to feel the strength you have within to tackle these physical tasks.
And remember, it does not have to be done fast.
It is an opportunity to connect with your breath.
Return your attention to your breath.
Continue to observe the subtle yet powerful flow of energy.
Notice how the body feels calm, yet energized.
As you're ready, gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
Open your eyes when you feel comfortable and carry this energy with you throughout your day.
I'm looking forward to seeing you again next time.
